Athner is a part of Betul district in Madhya Pradesh. Though a small city, it has all the possibilities to emerge on the map of Madhya Pradesh as a developed region of the state. The city lies near to Betul, Morsi and state capital Bhopal.

Diwali, and many others with fervor and gaiety. As per the census of
2011, city has a population of 11,915 and a literacy rate of 85.64% .
The economy of Athner is mainly dependent on agriculture. Some of the

gram, soyabean, mustard and coconut.

Athner is located 40 km from Betul and 223 km Bhopal. Betul is the nearest railway station from here located at a distance of around 30 km.
